Documents about Nuclear Power Plants leaked
As you might know, there will be votings soon (on September 27). Maybe due to this reasons some documents about nuclear power plants have been leaked exactly now. The Greens and SPD are criticizing the CDU/CSU now, because they support nuclear power plants (compare TV duel) and the document recommends to even build new ones.
In other countries this is normal, but in Germany politics as agreed on stopping the production of electricity with nuclear power until 2020. Now politicians are discussing if this decision was correct or if nuclear energy is needed for a longer amount of time.
Cem Özdemir, the leader of the Greens, even said that the CDU/CSU would decide for nuclear power if they had to choose between nuclear power and renewable energy.
At least this leads to some discussion in a voting campaign that has not even deserved the name campaign, because nothing is really going on. There seem to be no major topics (except nuclear power plants) on which the big political parties do not agree somehow.
