Something else than Elections: Electronical Health Insurance Card
It seems as if nothing happened in Germany after the Bundestag elections. There are only news on the elections, not many other topics are being discussed in the news papers.
The most important news apart from the elections at the moment seems to be the introduction of the new electronic health insurance card. There has been much protest by data protection specialists. The new health insurance card does not do anything new at the moment, but it is designed to store everything about the owner on a centralized server in the future. This leads to problems with regards to privacy, because there is the professional secrecy and there are often privacy problems with governmental IT-technology.
