Information on the project
playWii.de is a informational website about the Nintendo Wii. It offers tests and reviews for games and accessories as well as personal impressions of the authors. playWii.de sets a high value on communication with the readers.
The website was based upon the Content Management System apexx, for which I had implemented some additional software, but was then moved to a Wordpress-blog, because apexx was not updated by its programmer.
Tasks
Two modules for the Content Management System apexx have been developed, which would create the possibility to gather points in the community-system and use them to buy items in a shop. Therefore, a bonus-plugin and a shop-plugin, both together forming the required combination, have been developed.
Both plugins are fully integrated into the given CMS in both frontend and backend. The administration has been embedded in the apexx-panel and user-site events have been captured and processed by observing the called URLs and GET-parameters.
